Should your child go to soccer practice 5 days a week? It's 3 days enough? It is common for parents to be a little confused about this deciding how much is too much with regards to extracurricular activities. He argues that because most activities are fun (unlike studies), children simply fail these classes. But too much fun it can also make the child sick. Here is a simple tutorial to help you out decide how much is too much for your child. Kindergarten: Your child is just starting to learn to communicate and get used to it discipline. His or her extracurricular life should be simple and carefree. One or two lessons a week are enough to start. Once a child settle down, look for more challenging activities such as a music program. Level 1: One or two activities per week, play dates and playground visits recommended. Avoid competitive sports activities. The child is still too young to fear winning and losing. After the pitfalls and the whole day at school needs a healthy outlet of accumulated energy. Movement activities and non-competitive sports are best suited for this age. 2nd degree: Your child is old enough to have a say in what activities they do he wants Sports, skating, swimming or computers - direct him to things he likes. Many children start learning a musical instrument around this age. However, give your child some "alone time" to relax and just do what he wants. Class 3: Socialization is starting to take center stage. Team sports are a good choice. Developing motor skills, painting, drawing, etc. is also good. Leave the child explore areas of interest. But reserve enough time for family and for fun activities. 4th grade: At this age, the child will tell you what he likes. He needs to get engaged in activities that will increase his self-esteem. That will help too it manages stress because that's when social pressure starts build. But beware of the homework demon. Your child needs more time his studies. Balancing his school work with other activities is very difficult Important. 5th grade: The fifth grader is bursting with energy and will just want to do about everything.
