SS Rajamouli and his team are on a mission to bring home the Oscar Award with RRR. The film was snubbed at home as it was not chosen as the country’s official Best International Feature submission. However, the RRR team has decided to compete in all other categories and since then they have been aggressively promoting RRR and Raja mouli in the US. RRR received an overwhelming response at the Beyond Fest 2022, Los Angeles. Following that, his 2012 film, Ee was screened at the fest to a thunderous response. A video of the audience reaction as they hoots and clap has gone viral on social media. The theater had both foreign and Indian diaspora as the audiences, who are seen enjoying the wacky revenge story in which a slain hero reincarnates as a housefly to kill the villain. All the action and comedy sequences receive great responses from the audience, and the reaction to the interval banger is a delight to behold. Starring Samantha, Dani, and Sundeep in the lead role, Eega has MM Keeravani, who has also composed for Raja mouli’s Baahu bali and RRR. Looks like the RRR team’s campaign seems to be working so far, as there is a huge response from beyond borders for the director’s work. RRR is competing for Best Motion Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Visual Effects, Best Original Song, Best Original Score, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, Best Editing, Best Makeup, and Hairstyling. RRR is a hopeful candidate to realize the long-lasting Indian dream of winning the Oscar. Though AR Rahman has brought home two Oscars, the Tamil composer won it for a British film, Slumdog Millionaire. With RRR striking a chord with foreign audiences, 2023 might become the year for Indian cinema. Even after SS Rajamouli's RRR hasn't been picked as India's official entry to the Oscars 2023 for the Best International Feature Film category, the film's craze and popularity continue to rise in the United States of America. The Ram and Jr NTR star period action extravaganza was screened at the TLC Chinese Theatre, one of the biggest IMAX screens in the world, on the night of Friday, September 30. The audience went berserk at the screening, with the cine-goers dancing to the beats of Naatu song and applauding each and every action set-piece with thunderous applause. When the film ended, SS Raja mouli came to the center stage and was met with a huge standing ovation from the entire audience. The Telugu filmmaker shared a clip from the surreal experience on his Twitter handle in the wee hours of Sunday, October 2, and wrote, "Your adoration and applause towards my heroes, my film and i were enormous. THANK YOU, USA" and added three hands-held emojis. Even Raja mouli's son SS Karthi, who had assisted his father for the Baahu bali sequel, shared a video combining the best audience reactions from the screening and wrote, "It was an exhilarating experience to watch #RRRMovie with approx 900 different and new audiences in one of the best @IMAX screens in the world in the heart of Los Angeles. Overwhelmed by their unstoppable applause for #RRRMovie and the one and only ssraja. So kicked and excited to see how all of them embraced my brothers jr.NTR and Ram for their stupendous performances."
