After observing one minute's silence in memory of Bill Kenwright and Sir Bobby Charlton (deceased), play has officially resumed at Molineux Stadium.
Haaland sends Gordon an innocuous-looking ball across, yet his shot flies well over. City suddenly look careless with their defensive efforts and leave space open for Newcastle to attack.
Wolves vs. Newcastle
Rain has settled at Molineux and Newcastle are making waves on the break. Cunha lofts an unpredictable ball into the box but it seems to hit Wilson and force a VAR check!
After an extended delay, video review deems no handball to have occurred and play resumes. Lemina takes a shot from outside the area that Pope easily saves.
Last six meetings between these sides have all ended in draws, and that trend appears set to continue as Wilson squeezes a penalty past Sa to restore Newcastle's lead. Unfortunately, however, late defensive lapses from Newcastle have left them exposed at the back. With its poor start to the season having caused them to drop out of top six contention, Eddie Howe's team are currently playing some fantastic football under Mario Lemina and Nelson Semedo's return; though Alexander Isak, Jacob Murphy Sven Botman Harvey Barnes will certainly strengthen them further.
First Half
Newcastle United avoided relegation with two goals from Callum Wilson in the second half. These victories put an end to potential relegation battle and put a dent in Southampton's hopes for Champions League qualification. Alexander Isak could have easily taken home man of the match honours or Joe Willock could have scored energetically before Joelinton made it three. Joelinton saw one goal disallowed before scoring equaliser he needed.

In the 71st minute, Gordon used a long diagonal chip towards Isak in the center; this caused Romero and Porro to enter an unnecessary physical battle before side-footing in from close range.
Howe made his changes and brought on Wilson to replace Gordon, immediately making an impactful contribution: Trippier played Wilson down the inside right wing before his pinball pass off Romero fell for Isak who side-footed it home for Newcastle's goal. Wilson had another chance to double Newcastle's advantage but ultimately missed it after Hwang challenged Isak late but the referee waived play on after reviewing with VAR technology for what appeared like an obvious penalty call from VAR review.
Second Half
Second half action begins similarly, with both teams exchanging chances. Newcastle's Ait-Nouri attempts to take advantage of an overlap down the left flank but his shot goes over the bar.
Wilson capitalizes on an opportunity when referee Mike Sa waves away a potential penalty against Semedo, as they had the advantage of getting past half-time when Wilson squeezed a penalty past Sa.
Visitors took control of the first half, dominating play from start to finish, before hosting side responded strongly in second half and continued dominating proceedings - to provide an entertaining affair that delighted spectators alike.
Final Score
Teams emerge for the Champions League Anthem before an exuberant sea of black and white at St James' Park. Papiss Cisse shoots over the bar as Newcastle try for an early goal.

As half an hour passes and Manchester City are still ahead by one goal, they need another to tighten things up further and draw out all their resources to score another one - and Trippier's cross evades Isak completely!.
Rooney wastedd an excellent chance when Juan Mata found him with an exquisite pass from behind the goalline but Rooney sent his header wide of Jak Alnwick's post. The visitors also missed numerous chances but David de Gea came up clutch when diving low to prevent one bouncing past him; moments later Guimaraes played Isak in, only for him to shoot across goal instead.
