5 Ways to Lose Weight and Keep It Off for Good
Here are five ways to lose weight without really working at it. 1. Change what you eat. So what do you eat? If you eat a typical American diet (highly processed and highly caloric), you’re bound to gain weight. You have to start thinking of food in a whole new way. You have to go back to the basics. You have to eat real food.
Think about what we eat in Europe. We eat vegetables. We eat fruits. We eat cheese. We have eggs. We have a beer. We don’t eat fast food. Do you know what a piece of fruit looks like? No fork, just a bunch of seeds on half a piece of skin.
A lettuce leaf looks like a large potato. There’s very little processing. Take this piece of cake and replace it with a bowl of vegetables. Or this piece of pizza and replace it with a bowl of veggies.
1. Change your eating habits
The simplest way to lose weight is to eat fewer calories than what you burn. So if you want to lose weight, you should eat 2,000 calories a day and exercise for 1 hour for 30 days. By doing this, you will be able to lose 2-3 pounds every week. 2. Stop smoking. Don’t smoke or use any other tobacco products because they add extra pounds that you would have lost. 3. Increase your exercise When you are losing weight, you want to keep on exercising to continue to lose. So add 30 minutes of exercise to your day. 4. Cut back on alcohol. The more alcohol you drink, the harder it will be for you to lose weight. So if you are a smoker, cut down your smoking or drinking. 5. Avoid trans fats are something terrible for your health.
2. Change your diet
No matter what anyone says, I believe that diet is a big part of the weight loss journey. If your entire life is eating the same things and you are still not getting results, it's time to diet and change your lifestyle. When you change your diet, your body doesn't know what to do to burn fat. Now, it doesn't work for everyone, but here are my two favorite diet programs. The easiest is the 7-Day Fat Loss Diet. The foods you eat are exactly what you will eat. Nothing is off-limits, and you can eat as much as you like, and in the limited time you have. There are no grains allowed in the diet. This program was created by Ben Greenfield, author of the best-selling book "Eat Stop Eat." The other is a diet called "The Money Diet."
3. Cut out processed foods
Processed foods are basically any packaged food made up of batter/frying oil, and trans fats added salt, processed starch processed sugar. While it's great that you can buy a 100-calorie box of low-fat ice cream, the calories in that ice cream are more than what you need in one day and with high sodium content. Instead, opt for unprocessed and fresh foods such as fruits and veggies, whole grains, nuts, seeds, legumes, and lean meats. Eat organic when you can. 4. Reduce your calorie intake. Calorie restriction is when you eat less than your body needs to function—calories in vs. calories out. If you eat more than your body needs, you will gain weight. And if you eat less than your body needs, you will lose weight.
4. Exercise
Do you want to lose weight? Then exercise is the one step you need to take for you to lose weight. The reason is simple; exercise allows your body to utilize your stored energy more efficiently. When you exercise, your body burns more calories and provides more energy to do your daily activities. So you should go to one of the best health clubs and start exercising. 7. Drink Water One of the best things you can do to lose weight is to drink more water. Water helps keep you full; it aids your body in burning fat, keeps your skin and hair healthy, and hydrates. To lose weight, you should be drinking at least 8 glasses of water every day. 8. Eat Less Fat Foods high in fats should be avoided. You need to avoid foods with high-fat content.
5. Sleep
Sleep is important in your day-to-day life. Sleep is also needed to repair and rebuild your body. Sleep is also important for fat loss, and this is because it makes your body burn fat even if you do not eat or drink. How much sleep do you get every night? 1. Five to six hours 2. Six to seven hours 3. Seven to eight hours 4. Eight to nine hours 5. 9 or more hours How much sleep do you need to lose weight? For fat loss, a minimum of 6 to 7 hours a night is ideal. This requires adults to get between 75-85% of their daily recommended intake of sleep. [Also see: Post Workout Grooming Guide For Men] 1. The Elephant in the Room: Eating Disorders 2.
