Life is hectic; it is true. There are so many things that require your time and attention. Between work, children, family and household chores, there is little precious time for you. So it's completely understandable that things like salon bookings get pushed to the end of your priority list, but is the end of the "to do" list where your next haircut belongs? The answer to this question is, of course, no. There are many reasons why you should keep your lounge reservation. Besides taking time and relaxing, which I know won't motivate you because all your energy is spent enriching other people's lives and not your own, there are many practical reasons why you shouldn't. Don't call and cancel your next reservation. Here are 5 reasons: Tracking hair maintenance saves you time. You know what it is, your hair looks great until that fateful morning when you realize your hair is out of date for a cut. It won't do anything. So after hours of trying to force your hair into the style it held up beautifully yesterday, you resign yourself to the fact that nothing but a haircut will solve your bad day. But we all know that an impromptu haircut is hard to come by. That means you'll be spending the next week wasting time trying to style your overgrown locks while you wait for your reservation. Only if you had
kept your initial reservation. See, getting a regular cut, even if you think you can squeeze in for a little, a week or two more, prevents this mess from happening in the first place. A cut of the perfect length and shape will be a breeze to style in the morning, and it will save you time. Keeping your reserve saves you money. If your stylist has regular opportunities to keep your hair in top shape, they will have to do less in the long run to keep you in good shape. If you continually let your style grow or let your color fade, your stylist will have to do more work to get your unruly hair back in line. More work equals more time, and we all know that time is money. There's never a better time than today to get your hair done. Of course, we all think that we will have more time next week, that our workload will be less than today. But does it really happen? Let's face it; next week will be as busy as this week. And when you're busy, a little R and R will give you the energy you need to keep going. Another booking is in weeks. Why are you going to your stylist? That's because he's a fantastic stylist and knows your hair inside out. Well, if your stylist is that good with you, I'm sure there are other clients who are dying of your stylist's services. If you lose that reservation, it may take weeks before you receive another one. Keep your reservation out of respect. Make a reservation, your stylist takes the time out of a hectic day to meet your needs. If you don't show up or cancel at the last minute, your stylist will end up not making any money when they could have filled that time slot with another guest. Or even in some cases you could be fired for losing too many reservations. In this case, be sure to allow a minimum of 24 business hours and reschedule as soon as possible. Not only will your stylist thank you, but your hair will too.
