NUMBER 1:
THE BLACK PHONE

GENRE: Horror/Thriller
LENGTH: 1h 42 m

THE BLACK PHONE is directed by Scott Derrickson and composed by him, I think he makes great thrillers for grown-ups that are extremely scary.
In the wake of being stolen by a youngster executioner and secured in a soundproof underground cellar, a 13-year-old kid begins getting approached by a disconnected phone from the executioner's past casualties. Kids are alarmed and these kidnappings keep on happening, however, the entire getting calls from the dead casualties thing is genuinely supernatural. The twist to it is Ethan Hawk depicts the jokester kind of character!
"The black phone" isn't so much a blood and gore film yet there are horrendous components due to what's befalling these children. There is grounded realism to it, it seems like something that could occur in real life too, specifically little kids getting kidnapped and killed.
The major characters are two siblings Finney and his sister Gwen. Madeleine Mcgraw(Gwen) brings some humor out of specific circumstances. The way that Mason who plays Finney plays off of Ethan Hawk who is obviously the Grabber was astounding.
