However, keep in mind that most computers come with a warranty, and most computer problems will occur either at the start (when the warranty is still in place) or much afterwards (when it might be cheaper to buy a new computer). These days, technology evolves at a breakneck pace. So think about if the higher price of the extended warranty is worth it. And, if you truly believe you require the extended warranty, request a cheaper price.

Some retailers may negotiate the warranty, but not all. And, whether you purchase the extended warranty or not, make sure to back up all of your files on a regular basis, just in case!
