Japanese automaker YAMAHA has launched the 2022 iteration of its YZF-R3 motorbike in Taiwan. Its debut in India seems unclear. The bike is available in a new Vivid Orange paintwork, which mates a vibrant orange color with a Metallic Gray shade on the fairings and rear. It also flaunts "R3" logos on the sides. The new Yamaha YZF-R3 is a good-looking vehicle with decent performance and a hefty price tag. It might attract a select clientele in the Taiwanese market. The vehicle is also tipped to be introduced on our shores. It should be priced competitively, and the competition in the luxury two-wheeler segment will be raised to a great extent.
At the heart of the motorcycle sits the same 321cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine which has been rated to churn out 40.4bhp of maximum power at 10,750rpm and 29.4Nm of peak torque at 9,000rpm. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed transmission and slipped clutch. The suspension kit on the bike includes upside-down front forks, a rear mono-shock, and for braking it uses disc brakes on both wheels. The bike isn't expected to be launched in the Indian market anytime soon. Meanwhile, Yamaha Motor India recently announced the opening of its second "Blue Square" outlet in Coimbatore and Erode, situated in Tamil Nadu.
