2 crore, then why Jason Roy left the IPL

The new franchise Gujarat Titans bought England star batsman Jason Roy for Rs 2 crore in this year's IPL. But he said on Tuesday that playing in the IPL was not possible for him. Where cricketers can't ignore the IPL, why shouldn't Jason play in the IPL despite being sold for Rs 2 crore? Jason Roy is ignoring the IPL handshake to have a good time with his family. He said on Twitter on Tuesday, "I am heartbroken that I have decided to withdraw from this year's IPL. I thank Hardik Pandya, the management and captain of Gujarat Titans, for believing in me and choosing me for the auction. For the past two years, the global corona epidemic has had its effects on Jason Roy. Professional athletes have to be in biological protection. In this way, they may have to play for some more time. But the matter has created stress for everyone. The English batsman is not responding to the call of two crore rupees just to avoid the pressure of staying in biological protection day after day. Jason Roy also said on Twitter, "What has been happening around the world for three years has had an effect on me. I'm having a great time with my family right now. Besides, I am giving time to myself, spending my days in various activities. Spending time with family is my biggest achievement. There will be a tight schedule ahead of the game. 'Jason Roy's departure was a big blow to Gujarat, the first franchise to join the IPL this time around. Now he has to look for an alternative to Gujarat. The English cricketer also asked Gujarat to understand his situation and support him, "I will watch every game of the Titans. We will continue to support them to win the IPL trophy in the first year. Thanks to everyone for supporting me. I hope everyone will support and respect my decision.

"This is the second time Jason Roy has stepped down from the IPL. In 2020, Delhi Capitals hired him for Rs 1.5 crore. But he withdrew from the IPL for personal reasons.
