Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (Arabic: حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم; born November 14, 1982) is the Prince of Dubai. He is best known as Fazza (Arabic: فزاع), the name by which he publishes his poems, meaning the one who helps in Arabic.  As a horseman, Maktoum is a world champion in the World Horse Games. 

 

Early life and Education

Hamdan bin Mohammed is the son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Mohammad's eldest wife. He is the second of 12 children and the fourth of his father's children. Hamdan's full brother was Sheikh Rashid bin, Mohammed. [4]

Hamdan bin Mohammed studied in Dubai at Rashid School For Boys and then at the Daily School of Government. [5] He continued his studies in the United Kingdom, where he graduated from Sandhurst in 2001, [6] and later attended the London School of Economics. [7] [8] In his interview with Vision, he explained how Sandhurst taught him the importance of self-discipline, commitment, beauty, responsibility, perseverance, understanding, teamwork, friendship, and the benefits of hard work. Roles and positions

Hamdan was elected chairman of the Dubai executive council in September 2006. [8] On February 1, 2008, he was elected Prince of the Daily, and his brother Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum was approved as deputy governor of Dubai. [10] [11] As a new prince in the legacy, Fazza appointed new consultant staff and financial advisors such as John Calverly, a global economist, hedge fund tycoon James T Naeem, with Fazza himself head of HN Capital LLP. Sheikh Hamdan described his poems as "the identity and character of the poems in which I humbly try to restore happiness in people's hearts, reduce their suffering in my simple way. I express their hopes and aspirations".
