12 Reasons Why Street Food Is Popular

Now, why is street food so popular? Very much because it is cheaper and more fun. However, this is not the only reason why street food has grown in popularity

12 REASONS WHY STREET FOOD IS POPULAR:

1. Cheaper than restaurant food

7. It's authentic
8. You can eat street food on the go
9. It is a public effort
10. Street food goes hand in hand with outdoor recreation
11. It's mobile
12. It is an easy business to get into

1. Cheaper than restaurant food

The low cost of running and running on a street food table or food truck makes it easier to have a more competitive price.

There are no rental costs, business costs, labor bills, or running costs associated with a brick-and-mortar restaurant.

These savings can be passed on to the consumer, making street food an attractive offering.

2. The cost of street food encourages you to try new foods

Budgets are often difficult these days, so we are very selective in what we spend our money on.

We want to try that delicious new food at the restaurant but have one eye on the thing below. Yes, the low cost of street food makes it possible for us to try that new food.

3. The food is usually delicious and of good quality

Unlike some large chains, and ups and downs, the quality of food and services can be reduced; smaller operators are easier to manage with quality control.

The people who cook your food are more likely to own a table or food truck - which is why they will be more concerned about what they produce. Their whole life depends on it.

The result, therefore, is good quality, fresh and delicious food.

4. Street food is cooked in front of you

We all know stories about shenanigans (I won’t go into details) that can go after restaurants.

One of the great benefits of street food is that it is made right in front of you. You can clearly see how your food is handled, how it is cooked, and how clean it is in the kitchen. For most people, this gives them extra peace of mind.

In fact, this light helps to improve the quality of food and hygiene as a whole.

5. You get to try different foods in one place

Without additional costs, going to a restaurant usually includes one national or regional cuisine - be it Indian, Mexico or Italian.

On the other hand, street food vendors or food trucks are often gathered in the same place at food markets, festivals, and a range of foreign events.

6. New and fresh foods are always introduced

With the ease of placing a food truck or food business on the street comes the introduction of new types of food.

There are foods you may have never heard of, old food fusions, or revised classics designed for a modern palette.

Menus can also be easily modified and updated to create new offerings.

7. It's authentic

If anything like me, I would love to see my iPad Thai or Jerk Chicken cooked by someone of Thai or Caribbean heritage.

For me, it suggests that I am in safe hands and that the people who cook my food know what they are doing. The result will be a reality and not a modified version.

8. You can eat street food on the go

Street food is the fastest food because it is designed to be used quickly to catch and walk.

So you can get what you want, quickly and eat where you stand or go straight to the office or home.

9. It is a public effort

Street food takes this step forward. You could always sit around and chat with friends or people around you when you have a collection of food trucks and stables together.

Add music or entertainment to the organization, and you have a winning combination!

10. Street food goes hand in hand with outdoor recreation

I don’t think I’ve ever been to an event or an outdoor event as a customer when there were no food trucks.

Outdoor events throughout the season are accompanied by food, from your Xmas food markets to your summer music festivals. We love food.

11. It's mobile

The type of mobile food trucks or street food tables makes it easy to place where food is needed. Some places are so far away; it is not much you can offer in food (think offices or industrial areas). Food trucks or food markets are therefore a necessity or a welcome addition.

12. It is an easy business to get into

As mentioned at the outset of this article, the cost of starting and running a food truck or street food business is much lower than getting a brick-and-mortar restaurant.

Combine this with the growing demand from the consumer; you get the effect of rotating some of these types of business emerging (excuse the pun) to meet this need.
