Did you know that eating one extra cookie every day during the holidays can make you gain one pound? That may sound like a lot, but 10 years from now, you will weigh 10 pounds more than you currently do - that is, if you keep everything else, your food the same, and that asks a lot during the holidays. Most people gain four to five pounds [4-5 kg] at this time of year because of the temptation to have fun and have fun.
The holiday season is full of parties, family reunions, and lots of food, but with a little help, you can avoid eating too much during the holidays. If you continue to eat healthy and nutritious food, you will feel better and have more energy to enjoy the season.
1, Do Not skip meals:
Many people believe that they can save all those calories at a holiday party that night if they skip breakfast or lunch. That sounds like a good idea, but skipping meals can make you cringe, tired and possibly leave you with a headache that could ruin your evening party. Also, if you are starving and surrounded by high holiday management, you may become an aggressive food processor and use more calories than you missed at the beginning of the day.
Do not skip meals; eat with discernment. A bowl of whole grains and low-fat milk - *** breakfast, lunch of dry cakes and nuts, followed by a healthy lunch and a large salad or a sandwich will keep your body and mind burning for the rest of the day.
2, Eat High-Fiber Foods Before the Group
If you are going to a party, eat a high-fiber diet just before you leave. Fiber helps you feel full, and if you don't feel starving, you may not eat much at the party. Choose foods such as low-calorie vegetables, a small salad, a slice of fresh fruit, or a small bowl of oatmeal.
3 、 Eat a small number of your favorite foods:
No one wants to feel deprived, so go ahead and grab a small piece of pie or one cookie - but not both. Look over the buffet or serving table, and choose the one thing you would really like. Your whole plate can be filled with healthy vegetables and fruits, whole grains, cheese, and lean meat.
4, Do Not Join Buffet:
It’s not easy to resist the delicious food you get at a buffet at a party, so get off the table. Choose your food and drink and move to a different part of the room as they say, without seeing, without mind. At the very least, you will need to think about what you are doing before filling your plate over and over again.
5, Restore:
When friends and family gather for a meal, food is usually a heap on a plate for everyone. The wolf at the bottom of the first plate and select some of your favorites to bend down as a second aid.
Slow down. It takes a few minutes for your brain to see that your stomach is full, and you can eat a lot more food in those few minutes. You do not need a lot of food, so put small portions on your plate. Set your fork between the bite and drink the water. Relax and enjoy the taste of each month. Chew each bite well before swallowing. Enjoy every minute with your friends, family, and this delicious food, but remember it is food, not a race to see who can eat fast.
Drink Lots of Water
Many people believe that dehydration can sound like starvation, and the best way to avoid dehydration is to drink plenty of water. You can also use water to slow down your diet by drinking or twice between bites. Have a glass or two of water before you start drinking alcohol, and have one between drinks to reduce your drinking intake. (Not only can cocktails be high in calories, but indulging in alcohol can reduce your understanding of how much you eat.)
7, Maintain a healthy snack at work:
Keep healthy snacks in hand when co-workers begin to bring holiday management. This treatment is always fun, but it is rarely healthy. You can eat nuts, dried, fresh fruit, or energy bars instead so that your food calories are malnourished. If you’re going to enjoy a good holiday, make sure it’s not an everyday addition.
Keep Exercising
Exercise is a good way to control your weight, blood pressure, and exercise adds to your good health by reducing stress and keeping your muscles and bones in good condition. Although the holidays are busy, keeping up with your exercise routine will help ensure that occasional treatments will not stay permanently in your thighs or abdomen. Even if you are so busy that you have to cut your workout in the middle, continuing to exercise keeps you in the habit of exercising. Once you have stopped exercising, it can be tough to start again - never mind the weight you can gain by taking a hiatus.
9 、 Decide What to Buy Before Going to the Store:
You know how tempting it is to walk into a coffee shop or a candy bar. That temptation seems to double in the holiday season. You may think you walk into a coffee shop to get a cup of coffee, but when you see that delicious mocha with whipped cream and peppermint sprinkles, you suddenly decide you need that instead.
When you walk into a coffee shop, decide what you want before going in and sticking to it. Just order your coffee and get out of there - immediately. The same thing goes to a candy store. Looking for a little square of really dark chocolate? Okay, go to the store, buy and enjoy. Don't go in and buy three truffles, a cup of peanut butter, and two caramel and pecan carrots.
10 、 Don't be complacent; go back to a healthy diet:
It is difficult to avoid overeating during the holidays. If you slip up and down again, do not ignore it. Behave yourself. Remember that maintaining a healthy diet throughout the holidays takes practice. Forgive yourself and make sure your next meal or meal is healthy.
