We've put up a list of 10 free or nearly free activities that you and your family may do to ensure a wonderful summer in 2022.

1. Take a trip to a theme park

2. Experiment with different cuisines.

Consider all the things you haven't tried yet (go to an Asian market for some interesting ideas), and then go out and try something new. You never know, you might come upon some wonderful delicacy that you would never have known about if you weren't eager to try new meals.

3. Go on a Ferris Wheel ride

4. Take a road trip

5. Establish a Herb Garden

Gardening is a lot of fun, and growing your herbs is a great way to promote a healthy lifestyle while also teaching your children about it. They will enjoy digging in the dirt, planting seeds, growing seedlings, and watering them. You don't need much space for the vessel, which may be anything from a wooden crate to a mason jar to an old tire.

6. Visit the beach

7. Ride in a Hot Air Balloon

Ascend to unimaginable heights and experience the world through the eyes of a bird. Better yet, raise a glass of champagne as you float through the skies. If flying makes you nervous, go to a Hot Air Balloon Festival and watch from the ground.

8. Participate in a wine tasting

It's all too easy to become stuck in a rut and drink the same wine over and over. Perhaps you haven't tried a wide variety of wines before, and venturing out to sample new varietals is a little daunting. You can sample a range of wines at a wine tasting without committing to anything. During the session, you can also learn how to distinguish between different flavor notes and tastes. If you don't like one, move on to the next one and keep tasting until you discover one you like.

9. Go on a Whitewater Rafting Adventure

Take a thrilling raft ride down the river, passing through the rapids. Whitewater rafting is a dangerous sport, so proceed with caution if it's on your Summer Bucket List.
